Darren - What BFC Means To Me:
I became a member in October of 2005, and immediately was welcomed by so many Christian brothers. Brothers for Christ is a much needed ministry to connect man to man and discuss the issues that all of us face. Each of us has life experiences that bless each other, I believe that is the main reason that Christ allows a guy to suffer, it is in that suffering that prepares a man's heart to be able to reflect Christ when he sees another going through a similar experience that he may be farther down the road with.
Your sufferings are the hard times that allow you to reach so many for Christ and encourage other Christian men who may be struggling with a similar trial.
BFC goes beyond and provides an environment in which many men connect on a level that they seem to struggle with connecting face to face at church, hopefully after spending some time and getting support here we can take those steps necessary to make sure we are living and reaching to those brothers by sharing our hearts, BFC is a great place to start sharing, the guys here will keep you on track, will pray for and with you and will rejoice in your victories and stand shoulder to shoulder as you face the enemy.
Loren - What BFC Means To Me:
BFC is a place where I can interact with Christian brothers on real issues that men deal with on a daily basis. No religious facade required here. I can be myself, express my thoughts and convictions as an ordinary guy, which I am ,but which is difficult for a pastor to do, and still be loved and accepted. This is a band of brothers that "rides for the brand" and seems sincere in helping one another be successful in the quest of being the kind of men that Jesus wants us to be.
Jason - What BFC Means To Me:
Brothers For Christ has provided me a place to grow spiritually, ask questions of Godly men, and share problems or concerns that I may have, all with men who share the same concerns or problems, and completely understand. The men here are knowledgeable and genuinely care for each other. When I hadn't been around for awhile, I received an email, just wanting to make sure that everything was alright.
This is a wonderful band of brothers who want to help each other grow in Christ. The amount of materials provided as resources is simply astounding. This site is a great one stop shop for just about anything a Christian brother may need. I feel truly blessed to have found this online home, and it does feel like home. This is where I belong. Make sure to join and jump right in to any of the conversations, you will be warmly welcomed and embraced by everyone here. Sometimes I feel like my walk is more like a crawl, but these guys just lift me up, and help me take another step, even when they don't know it.
Dave - BFC: A New Part of My Walk:
My walk with the Lord is not always governed by road signs and guard rails. I like to venture at times, with the hope of discovering something of "new value", in unexpected places. Most of us in fact have probably heard "nothing ventured, nothing gained".
It is to Gods glory, that I am here with other men, where we share our hopes, thoughts, and deeds, what some may call transparency. All of us have purpose in being here... and I can only speak for myself, but I can observe what others have given me, which adds value to my life. I have been gifted by others in their wisdom and discernment, their personal experiences in varied walks of life... different perspectives that add value to my thinking and reinforces my spiritual growth.
It is good to be in the company of Christian men.... good men who struggle with life, but understand how "iron sharpens iron". This place called BFC, where we meet to share... has given me a place where I learn, re-learn, sharpen, edify and grow. To the fine men here I say Thankyou... and to Jesus Christ I say....
it is to your glory.
In his service.......... Dave
David - "What the Brothers for Christ Fellowship Means to Me"
I am very please to have been invited to this wonderful Internet site called The Fellowship of Brothers. I participate at a few other Christian discussion boards, but what struck me immediately as being different about this discussion site is the "air" of the fellowship. I simply have not encountered the dogmatic rhetoric I typically encounter elsewhere.
I feel very free to express what's on my heart and mind without concern for someone responding with an "iron hammer" of condemnation for not agreeing 100% with their respective view(s). I believe that the Lord is going to use this group in a mighty way, and I appreciate my association with this ministry.
I highly recommend The Fellowship of Brothers discussion board.
